Cars On 1st is a one-day fundraising event held in the heart of Downtown Fort Myers, blending the excitement of car culture with a mission-driven community experience. Hosted in partnership with Ubuntu Spirit, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the event raises critical funds to fight food insecurity and support compassionate outreach across Southwest Florida.

At Cars on 1st, with your host Rick Rhodes, I took a different approach to covering the event. While the cars are always a major attraction, I focused on the people behind the experience—the vendors, sponsors, and community members who make it all possible. By highlighting the businesses that invest the most into the event, I created a photo gallery that not only captures the energy of the show but also gives well-deserved visibility to those driving its success. Supporting the charity partner, UBUNTU, a vital food distributor in our community, was an important part of this story.
